I sent NIN to jamb 55019 and 66019 no reply [solution]

Since the commencement of this year JAMB registration, many candidates have had issues creating their JAMB Profile Code when sending their NIN to 55019 or 66019.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has added 66019 as an additional and optional USSD code besides the 55019 code that had been in operation since 2018 for UTME and Direct Entry registration and other essential services offered by the Board.

 

This is to make the 2022 UTME/DE registration exercise hitch-free. By ensuring that there is no difficulty whatsoever in creating JAMB profiles by candidates, especially in a situation whereby many of them would be sending their requests via just one USSD code as hitherto the case.

I will be providing likely solutions to this issue that some candidates are facing while trying to generate the code

before we continue, let me show you how to create jamb profile code if you don’t know it.

 

How To Get JAMB Profile Code

First, you need to obtain your NIN.

Let’s assume that your National Identification Number is “12345448910″, you will send an SMS in this format “NIN 12345448910” to 55019 or 66019 (you can also dial *55019*1*NIN# or *66019*1*NIN#)

You will then receive a 10 digits profile code on the SIM card you used to send your NIN

  • Insufficient Airtime

you need airtime to perform any transaction via your Sim most of our telecommunication providers charges from 4 naira per SMS to even 8 naira depending on the destination, content and length of the message you are sending.

 

while creating your Jamb profile ensure you have nothing less than 100 naira as this will cover all service charge

 

  • Your Sim Is New/unregistered sim:

for you to send any SMS or make a call you must register your Sim, this is the new directive given to all operators in the country, they uses this means to check crimes, terrorism and other social vises.

 

to successfully create your Jamb profile via mobile you need a registered Sim card.

 

  • Your sim cannot send message:

are you making use of faulty Sim? there are some sim card naturally they can’t send SMS no matter the balance of your phone.

ensure you make use of a sim that had been tested and confirmed to have sent SMS.

 

  • You are using Airtel or Glo :

I will advise you to make use of mtn if other network providers fails you.

After my little research, I have been able to come out with the following solutions to address the issue at hand. The three recommendations below could just be your saving grace.

Tips for getting a fast reply from Jamb when you send a massage to them

1. If you have MTN Line, you should use it preferably.

 

2. Make sure you have enough airtime and your SIM is able to send and receive messages.

 

3. Enter NIN Space NIN Number to 55019 and send to 55019, E.g NIN 01267930282 to 55019

Get a New SIM Card

If you have tried everything above and still not getting your profile code, simply get a new sim card and link it with your NIN. Then Use it to Send NIN 00123456789 to 55019.

Dial *121*1# to link your Glo line

Dial *121*1# to link NIN to Airtel Line

Dial *200*8# to link NIN to 9Mobile Line

Glo: send “UPDATENIN NIN FirstName and LastName” to 109

 

Important things to know when sending nin to 55019 or 66019 for JAMB examination profile code generation.

 

all candidates who find it difficult to generate the JAMB profile code should know this.

1. Jamb serve is actively available at night, if if it shows you an error reply on day time, you have a chance of getting your code successful at night.

2. do not send massage to 55019 or 66019 with a bonus or free airtime, they do not receive that.

3. you can contact jamb online support through jamb.gov.ng for any issue you are having concerning JAmb registration, they’re willingly to help you

4. if you have gotten your profile code before, last year or last two years, you can still use it this year.

5. without the JAMB examination profile code, you can not register for JAmb exam, so be serious with this.
